RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — A historic estate in Prince George County will be sold at auction.
The estate sits on 98 acres along the James River between Richmond and Williamsburg. The property includes a nine-bedroom house built in 2007 that has eight full and two half-baths, a pool, and a caretaker’s residence.
The property is part of Flowerdew Hundred, the original farm that King James gave as a land grant to Virginia Gov. Sir George Yeardley in 1619.
The Richmond Times-Dispatch (http://bit.ly/1xSgfBE ) reports that the auction is set for Oct. 24 at the site. The reserve, or minimum, bid is $2.5 million.
Platinum Luxury Auction is handling the sale.
