Chris Brown’s bodyguard sentenced to probation

WASHINGTON — Singer Chris Brown’s bodyguard Christopher Hollosy has been given a 90-day suspended jail sentence, 1-year probation and ordered to perform 24 hours of community service for breaking the nose of a Beltsville man last year.

Brown had pleaded guilty in September to misdemeanor assault and was given no additional jail time after spending about 80 days in jail.

The incident happened outside the W Hotel in downtown Washington in October 2013 when Brown was in town to perform for Howard University’s homecoming weekend.

Prosecutors say both Brown and Hollosy punched Parker Adams of Beltsville when Adams tried to get into a picture with Brown near the singer’s tour bus.

Hollosy declined to give a statement at his sentencing on Tuesday and offered no comment leaving the courtroom.

His lawyer, Bernard Grimm told Judge Patricia Wynn that Hollosy “has no prior criminal history, acknowledges what happened and accepts the court’s verdict.”

Testimony at the spring trial indicated that Brown punched Adams in the arm and Hollosy struck him in the face.

Adams had testified that on a scale of one to 10, Brown’s punch was a six but Hollosy’s was a 10.

Hollosy was also ordered to pay $50 to a victim relief fund.

Brown remains on probation until January 2015 for his 2009 assault on his then- girlfriend Rhianna.
