New Partnership with 4Giving Aims to Provide Critical Community and Small Business Support
Washington, D.C. (May 24, 2021) – WTOP has officially announced the launch of its WTOP Live Local campaign in partnership with 4Giving, a platform that helps non-profits, organizations & individuals quickly create and inspire moments of generosity through community fundraising.
As a news organization, WTOP has seen firsthand the toll this past year has taken on area businesses and members of the community. WTOP’s goal with the WTOP Live Local campaign is to help as many people in D.C., Maryland and Virginia as they can through partnerships with local charities working directly in the community, providing resources to those who need it most.
“Our hope is that our community will utilize the WTOP Live Local campaign as their local charity marketplace,” said WTOP Director of News & Programming, Julia Ziegler. “Your donations help give back to trusted local charity partners whose work supports and empowers the diverse community in which we live, making a difference in the lives of our neighbors (and yours).”
The WTOP Live Local campaign website serves as a portal where members of the community can donate directly to charities supported by WTOP. WTOP will be kicking off the Live Local campaign with a donation of $103.5 to each local charity partner currently featured.
“4giving is proud to partner with WTOP to build a better, stronger community,” said Joe Sriver, CEO at 4giving. “Our mission is to foster new, immediate and impactful relationships between charitable causes, the community and sponsors, like WTOP.”
