ALX Dog Walk Description

Welcome to the ALX Dog Walk, the ultimate annual dog walk event and celebration in the District, Maryland, and Virginia area! It’s a tail-wagging fun way to promote plastic-free/sustainable living!

The Third Annual ALX Dog Walk, on Saturday, April 20, 2024, 8 AM – 11 AM, will bring together 500+ adorable pooches and countless humans for a beautiful 2-mile walk down historic Union St, returning along the Waterfront Walk to Oronoco Bay Park for a morning celebration filled with music, bubbles, kids and dog activities, an awesome goodie bag, dog magician, treats, a dog competition with prizes, and lots of belly rubs!

NBC4 Washington’s Meteorologist Chuck Bell will emcee the event, representatives from PawfectlyDeliciousDogTreats.org and Friends of the Mount Vernon Trail will help lead the Walk, and The Board of Lady Managers of Inova Hospital will again host a delicious bake sale! Plus, in collaboration with USO Metro and Robyn Porter, Realtor with Long & Foster, ALX Dog Walk will host up to 100 members of the military!

The Sustainability Festival!

At the third annual dog walk event, ALX Dog Walk is adding a new feature – a Sustainability Festival!  Public, private, and non-profit organizations will host tables and showcase their plastic-free/sustainable products, services, and initiatives, and participants will have the opportunity to stroll the park with their pooches and learn so much more.
