Join the American Heart Association and more than 10,000 walkers for the Greater Washington Region Heart Walk presented by Vencore Inc.

The Greater Washington Heart Walk is the American Heart Association’s mission in action. This annual celebration promotes physical activity and heart-healthy living in a fun, family environment. This year the event falls on Veteran’s Day weekend and will also honor military service members and their families.

When: Saturday, November 7, 2015, 8:30am – 11:30am. Walk steps off at 10:00am

Where: The National Mall, Washington, DC.

Why: The American Heart Association’s My Heart. My Life. prevention platform is a comprehensive new health, wellness and fitness initiative to empower Americans to get healthier. It’s an important component of the American Heart Association’s sweeping national goal: to improve the cardiovascular health of all Americans by 20 percent and to reduce deaths from cardiovascular disease and stroke by 20 percent by the year 2020.

Heart disease and stroke are is the No. 1 cause of death of Americans.  Help The American Heart Association meet their goal of $2,500,000 to continue the mission to build healthier lives free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
