ISLAMABAD (AP) — The Associated Press has withdrawn its story about the Taliban rejecting reports of a nationwide internet ban in Afghanistan, saying old fiber optic cables are worn out and being replaced. The story was based on a statement which did not come from the Taliban. AP will publish a corrected version of the story.
