WASHINGTON – The adage tells us to dance like no one’s watching. That might not always be such a great idea, even for professional dancers.
The Globe and Mail recently sat down with two dancers from the National Ballet of Canada to ask questions tweeted from readers, who asked the kind of questions critics and arts writers never do. Readers wanted to know about the condition of the dancers’ feet, their most embarrassing ballet experiences and certain – um, anatomical challenges that male dancers face.
The surprise, however, might have come when the dancers were asked what their non-ballet dance moves looked like.
The result? Ehhh. It’s likely they’ll keep their night jobs.
