Vanover scores 14, Oral Roberts tops South Dakota St. 69-65

BROOKINGS, S.D. (AP) — Connor Vanover had 14 points in Oral Roberts’ 69-65 win against South Dakota State on Saturday night.

Vanover was 5 of 11 shooting (2 for 5 from distance) for the Golden Eagles (27-4, 18-0 Summit League). Carlos Jurgens scored 12 points while shooting 4 for 11 (1 for 3 from 3-point range) and 3 of 4 from the free throw line. Max Abmas recorded 12 points and was 2 of 10 shooting, including 1 for 6 from distance, and went 7 for 8 from the line. The Golden Eagles extended their winning streak to 14 games.

The Jackrabbits (18-12, 13-5) were led in scoring by Matt Dentlinger, who finished with 23 points and seven rebounds. Zeke Mayo added 20 points and 12 rebounds for South Dakota State. In addition, Matthew Mims had 10 points. The Jackrabbits broke a seven-game winning streak with the loss.
