Earlier this year we traveled to Morocco to observe Exercise African Lion. It is an annually scheduled, multinational military exercise, with the U.S. and Morocco playing the leading roles. It’s designed to improve interoperability, mutual understanding and prepare for the possibility that the two countries and other allies would need to collaborate in a real-time military operation.
