Randy Clarke — who comes to the D.C.-area from Austin, Texas — is stepping into what many consider one of the most challenging jobs in U.S. transportation. He’s tasked with rehabbing an underfunded and aging, yet essential transit system in the nation’s capital. We talk to WTOP’s Luke Lukert about his past experiences and how they could translate to our transit system. Then we speak with Johns Hopkins virologist Andrew Pekosz about the rising case count and where things stand with COVID-19, as many of us are getting sick this Spring.
