Joshua Oppenheimer

WTOP Entertainment Reporter Jason Fraley chats with Oscar-nominated filmmaker Joshua Oppenheimer as this week marks the 10th anniversary of his masterful documentary “The Act of Killing” (2012). They spoke in 2014 about the film’s gutsy interviews with actual perpetrators of Indonesian genocide. They spoke again in 2016 about his companion piece “The Look of Silence,” which allowed an optometrist to grill death-squad leaders about his brother’s murder.
