The Northbrook, Illinois-based company said it had profit of $1.93 per share. Earnings, adjusted for amortization costs and restructuring costs, were $2.32 per share.
The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $2.10 per share.
The maker of the Jaws of Life device and other engineered products posted revenue of $920.6 million in the period, also surpassing Street forecasts. Five analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $902.4 million.
For the current quarter ending in September, Idex expects its per-share earnings to range from $2.20 to $2.25.
The company expects full-year earnings in the range of $8.70 to $8.85 per share.
