On a per-share basis, the San Antonio-based company said it had a loss of 43 cents. Earnings, adjusted for asset impairment costs, were 63 cents per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was breakeven on a per-share basis.
The radio company posted revenue of $997 million in the period.
