The Scottsdale, Arizona-based company said it had net income of $2.01 per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to $2.11 per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.93 per share.
The home builder posted revenue of $2.1 billion in the period, also surpassing Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $2.04 billion.
