LONG ISLAND CITY, N.Y. (AP) — LONG ISLAND CITY, N.Y. (AP) — JetBlue Airways Corp. (JBLU) on Tuesday reported a loss of $74 million in its second quarter.
The Long Island City, New York-based company said it had a loss of 21 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 16 cents per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 31 cents per share.
The airline posted revenue of $2.36 billion in the period, which also topped Street forecasts. Six analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $2.29 billion.
