The San Jose, California-based bank said it had earnings of 10 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 21 cents per share.
The results beat Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 19 cents per share.
The holding company for Heritage Bank of Commerce posted revenue of $66 million in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $47.8 million, which also beat Street forecasts.
