The Marietta, Georgia-based company said it had profit of 54 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, were 70 cents per share.
The building products distributor posted revenue of $780.1 million in the period.
BlueLinx shares have declined 26% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $75.87, a fall of 38% in the last 12 months.
