The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 15 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 75 cents per share.
The maker of graphics chips for gaming and artificial intelligence posted revenue of $35.08 billion in the period, also beating Street forecasts. Thirteen analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $33.33 billion.
