The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 3 cents per share.
The restaurant chain posted revenue of $325.7 million in the period, exceeding Street forecasts. Seven analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $325.6 million.
BJ’s Restaurants shares have climbed 3% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $37.09, a rise of 44% in the last 12 months.
