Jim McKeever, whose development consulting firm has played an instrumental role in Northern Virginia’s explosive growth over the last four decades, died Oct. 30. He was 75.
The news was announced Thursday by the Fairfax Symphony Orchestra — McKeever had served as the organization’s chairman since 2016. A cause of death was not immediately available.
“We are forever grateful for Jim’s leadership and support of the FSO,” Jonathan Kerr, the orchestra’s executive director, said in a statement. “Most recently, he and the board helped chart our course through the pandemic — one of the most challenging times in the organization’s 64-year history. His unwavering commitment and dedication to excellence in the arts and music education helped the FSO expand its programs to better serve our community. His love of the FSO was resounding, and his legacy lives on through the music and service of the Fairfax Symphony Orchestra to our region.”
