It’s been a long and rewarding journey for Molly Fogarty, literally and figuratively.
Fogarty helped pave the way for Nestle USA, the U.S. division of the global food and beverage company based in Switzerland, to shift its headquarters from California to Northern Virginia in 2018. She worked behind the scenes with state and federal legislators to ensure a smooth transition that brought with it a $40 million investment and 750 jobs to Arlington County for the company, which has eventually grown to 1,000-plus total local employees and $28 billion in revenue as it shifted its business model away from candy and chocolates and toward other such business lines as Gerber baby foods, Purina pet food, Chameleon Cold-Brew Coffee and DiGiorno Pizza.
Fogarty’s role has kept her on her toes, working to ensure Nestle’s U.S. workers stayed connected and driven toward the company’s future while pressing its interests nationally and locally.
