There’s a proverbial storm of activity swirling around Maria Thompson, but you wouldn’t know it by how she leads.
As executive vice president in charge of development and construction for Hoffman & Associates, she helps direct the growth and expansion of its $4.5 billion portfolio of projects, with substantial work taking place at The Wharf and Buzzard Point in particular. Brought aboard in 2015 to oversee day-to-day leadership of the developer’s construction arm, Thompson has overseen as many as 2 million square feet of mixed-use development at a single point, comprising thousands of residential units and hundreds of thousands of office square feet.
