Growing up in Morgantown, West Virginia, Alma Angotti heard the call of Hollywood coming from beyond the hills of Appalachia and dreamed of being an actress.

Then came a plot twist. A mentor suggested a switch to the government side. She couldn’t have come to the Securities and Exchange Commission at a more dramatic time.
