4 New Caribbean Hotels Opening in 2018

Baha Mar
Nassau, The Bahamas

The new Baha Mar hotel complex in Nassau has been slowly opening in phases, but the grand opening of Rosewood Baha Mar will take place in spring 2018. This $4.2 billion beachfront development will include 2,300 rooms, an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course and a 100,000-square-foot casino, among other standout amenities. Within the complex, there are three new properties to stay in — Grand Hyatt, SLS Baha Mar and Rosewood Baha Mar. Each brand-backed property offers its own style and dining venues, and shares the same stretch of gorgeous beachfront in the Bahamas.

Hodges Bay Resort & Spa
St John’s, Antigua

Hodges Bay Resort & Spa is a new $100 million resort within walking distance of the heart of St. John’s, Antigua. The property is slated to open with much fanfare in summer of 2018, and will offer luxury accommodations, one-, two- and three-bedroom villas, on-site dining and a swim-up bar. A luxury spa, rooftop bar and poolside cabanas will also add to the property’s luxurious surroundings. Other perks include access to tennis courts, an infinity-edge pool, a putting green and the chance to arrange kite surfing, deep-sea diving and sunset catamaran excursions.

Silversands Grenada
Grenada

Set to open in March 2018, Silversands Grenada is the first major resort project to open on Grand Anse Beach in the last 25 years. This property will include 43 spacious suites, along with hillside and beachfront villas and a sprawling, nearly 330-foot infinity pool. Guests will also have access to the lavish Silversands Spa, which will boast a gym, sauna and upscale treatment rooms, along with a chic beach club.

Serafina Beach Hotel
San Juan, Puerto Rico

Serafina Beach Hotel is slated to open its doors in spring 2018. This property will offer gorgeous oceanfront views, access to San Juan’s trendy Condado district and a chic interior design filled with ocean-inspired decor. Guests will be able to choose from rooms with beachfront terraces, and rooms facing the ocean or the Laguna del Condado. As for dining, the property will include two versatile restaurants, along with a poolside bar. Even better, the property boasts an infinity-edge pool and an on-site fitness center along with versatile activities, including daytrips to El Yunque National Rainforest and privately chartered snorkeling trips that can be arranged with the hotel’s staff.
