6 Relaxing Spas in Las Vegas — Locals’ Picks

After a day of walking the Strip or just one night of clubbing, nothing beats a day at the spa. And no city can spoil you with over-the-top oases better than Las Vegas. If you want to indulge in head-to-toe pampering, these spas come highly recommended by local experts.

Qua Baths & Spa

Andrew Kiraly, editor of Desert Companion, a southern Nevada lifestyle magazine, describes the Qua Baths & Spa at Caesars Palace as “a global mashup of different relaxation traditions.”

The 50,000-square-foot spa includes a laconium room (a slightly less intense sauna), three Roman baths of varying temperatures where you can soak away your pains, and its Arctic Ice Room, complete with falling snow. Kiraly notes that the ayurvedic herbal treatments and chakra balancing are unique Qua offerings. Overall, “it is a pretty mind-blowing experience,” he says.

Access to the spa for Caesars Palace hotel guests who are paying resort fees is $25 Monday through Thursday and $35 Friday through Sunday. For those not staying in the hotel, a pass is $55 Monday through Thursday, and $65 Friday through Sunday. Spa access is complimentary when you buy a treatment. The spa is open daily from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Canyon Ranch SpaClub

Known for its state-of-the-art fitness facility, the Canyon Ranch SpaClub at The Venetian Las Vegas is one of the world’s largest day spas, with 134,000 square feet of services, treatments and workout options, including a 40-foot indoor rock climbing wall.

“Canyon Ranch is the top of the top,” says Melinda Sheckells, editor-in-chief of Vegas Seven, a weekly Las Vegas lifestyle magazine. “Even if you’re not getting a treatment, go there and soak in all of the amenities. They have an igloo room and different thermal adventures that you can try. You can really make a whole day of it and not get a treatment. And, it is great if you’re going with someone because you can park them in the spa if you are getting a treatment.”

A $60 SpaClub Passport gives you all-day access to the fitness facility and all the thermal environments, including the igloo room and the experiential rains room. The passport is complimentary when you spend $50 or more on treatments. The SpaClub facilities are open daily from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas

“It is an experience as soon as you walk in,” says Nancy Nitsche, chief concierge at the Aria Resort & Casino, describing the spa on the 23rd floor of the Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas. “They put you in slippers and hand you tea at the front door. Plus, their communal area literally overlooks the city skyline.”

Two of its signature offerings include a hammam, which features a head-to-toe exfoliation, and a Chinese foot spa, which is a great option for a quicker treatment that will help you recover from a day of walking on the Strip without messing up your hair.

A spa day pass for hotel guests is $50 Monday through Thursday and $60 Friday through Sunday. For those not staying in the hotel, the daily rate is $100. Guests receive complimentary spa access the day of their treatment. The spa is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday through Sunday.

The Spa at Aria

Nitsche also recommends The Spa at Aria at her resort. “We have the only ganbanyoku room in the United States with heated stone beds,” she says. “There is also a shio salt room, where you go and breathe in the salt for various benefits. We also have a co-ed balcony that overlooks the pool area and three private suites, which are some of the best-kept secrets on the Strip.”

A daily pass costs $50 for hotel and casino guests, and $100 for other guests. And, with 62 treatment rooms and its private suites, the spa offers plenty of space to indulge in some extra pampering. The spa is open daily from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Spa Bellagio

Tina Matson, head concierge at the Bellagio Las Vegas, recommends her resort’s spa, noting that the deep coconut surrender massage is very popular.

Patrick Ritschard, chief concierge at the Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas, says he often recommends Spa Bellagio in addition to his hotel’s intimate spa because it’s not only beautiful, but also offers great amenities, like three Jacuzzis.

The Spa at Red Rock by Well & Being is also one of the few spas in Las Vegas to offer Beverly Hills dermatologist Dr. Harold Lancer’s facial and body treatments. The 50-minute Lancer method facial with oxygen costs $190 on a weekday.

The spa is open daily from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., and the first services can be booked at 8 a.m. A one-day pass for hotel guests is $25 and gives guests access to the fitness facility.
