Retail stores, restaurants and a host of other businesses are banding together on Veterans Day to give back to those who have given to our country — and to give some big discounts to everyone else.
We’ve rounded up our top picks for the 11 best sales and deals that shoppers can find, including a few specials reserved exclusively for veterans and active duty military.

Bed Bath & Beyond
Home decorating is 20 percent more affordable for servicemen and servicewomen at Bed Bath and Beyond.
Through Nov. 11, members of the U.S. military, veterans and military spouses can take 20 percent off their entire purchase (some exclusions apply). This promotion is available in-store only, and you must have your U.S. military ID present at the time of purchase.
Sears
Sears is getting in the patriotic spirit with a Veterans Day sale that runs through Nov. 14. You can score 40 percent or more off Kenmore appliances, an extra 20 percent off select sale and regular-priced purchases, and up to 60 percent off mattresses.
Active duty, reserve and retired military personnel can save 40 percent off regular-priced tools and home appliances, an extra 10 percent off discounted tools and an extra 5 percent off discounted home appliances.
Amazon
At Amazon, you can take 20 percent off select products in the store’s fashion department.
This promotion applies to select clothing, shoes, watches and more, some of which are already discounted. Enter promo code 20VETERANS at checkout to have the savings applied to an eligible order. This code is valid through Nov. 11 at 11:59 p.m. PT.
Carter’s
All shoppers can get in on the savings action this holiday with a 50 percent off sale at baby apparel retailer Carter’s. Price reductions can be found on apparel, shoes and accessories.
Plus, through Nov. 11, you can print an in-store coupon or use promo code VETDAY25 online to take an extra 25 percent off a purchase of $40 or more. If you spend less than that, use code VETDAY15 to take 15 percent off your entire purchase.
Eddie Bauer
Through Nov. 12, enjoy discounts up to 50 percent off on select products for men and women, plus gear.
For instance, the women’s Quest fleece quarter zip-up is on sale for just $25 (regularly $50). Or, if you need something to keep warm this winter, the store’s oversized down throw has been reduced to $79.99 (regularly $119). There’s no coupon required for this sale.

Olive Garden
Olive Garden is telling veterans “it’s our turn to serve you” with a free entree offer for vets and active duty military. Veterans can choose a free dish off a select menu, and anyone dining with them will receive a 10 percent discount on their meals. As with most of these deals, you’ll need to show proof of service to claim this offer.
Look for Veterans Day deals at other restaurants, including a free lunch from Texas Roadhouse and free meal from Applebee’s. If you don’t see a promotion advertised, ask the restaurant if there’s any specials.
Great Clips
On Nov. 11, veterans can get a free haircut at any U.S. Great Clips salon location.
If you’re not a veteran, but get your hair cut at Great Clips on Veterans Day, the business will give you a “Thank a Veteran Free Haircut Card” that you can gift to a veteran in your life. Cards can be redeemed until Dec. 31.
Lord & Taylor
You don’t have to be a veteran to shop the Big Veterans Day Sale at Lord & Taylor.
Through Nov. 11, shoppers can print a shopping pass or use coupon code VETSDAY to take 20 percent off sale and clearance items; 15 percent off cookware, tabletop, bed and bath items; and 10 percent off small electrics.
Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft Stores
Doorbusters are usually synonymous with Black Friday shopping, but fabric and craft store Jo-Ann is breaking out its blockbuster deals early with a selection of Veterans Day doorbusters.
Save big on everything from yarn and fabrics to apparel and craft tools. For instance, holiday cheer wreaths are on sale for $12.99 each (regularly $39.99 each). The entire stock of jewelry and beading is up to 40 percent off. Select licensed character fabrics and no-sew throws are also 40 percent off.

The Veterans Day discounts reach an impressive 70 percent off at formalwear retailer Jos. A. Bank. You can take 70 percent off a wide selection of suits, sport coats, dress shirts, sweaters, outerwear, shoes and more. For instance, the executive two-button wool suit with trousers is on sale for $195 (regularly $650).
There is no coupon code required for this sale. As an added bonus, online shoppers can receive free shipping with no minimum order amount.
Sleep Number
Sleep Number is hoping that customers will rest easy by saving $500 off the price of the retailer’s Veterans Day special edition bed.
The Veterans Day special edition queen mattress with SleepIQ technology is on sale for $1,599.98 (regularly $2,099.98). The bed is fully customizable; you can select a different mattress type and size, add a base and add or subtract the SleepIQ option. Price will vary depending on which combination you choose. The sale lasts through Nov. 15.
