On the surface, the business schools at Stanford University, Harvard University and the University of Pennsylvania look strikingly similar. Each features state-of-the-art facilities, diverse and high-achieving student populations, vast menus of global excursions and student clubs, and tuition and fees that run more than $61,000 annually.
The bread and butter at all three is the two-year, full-time MBA, though a careful look will find some opportunities to specialize, complete joint-degree programs and pursue doctoral and executive business programs.
The starting salary for graduates of all three institutions averages more than $142,500, including bonuses. But to hear students tell it, these three elite b-schools are surprisingly different. U.S. News visited each campus to get a sense of what gives each place its distinctive feel.
