BALTIMORE (AP) — Authorities have arrested a man suspected of tipping over cans of gasoline at Baltimore’s World Trade Center.
Maryland Transportation Authority police took the man into custody Saturday evening after the incident at the Inner Harbor. Baltimore firefighters also responded to the scene.
Smoke detectors went off in the building after detecting gas vapors. But there was no fire.
Police say the gasoline cans were already at the building and are used for backup generators. The gasoline was apparently spilled at the building’s loading dock. Officials say the man was not an employee at the World Trade Center.
