Matthew, 32, was indicted in Fairfax County on three felony counts related to
a 2005 sexual assault. He is charged with attempted capital murder, abduction
with intent to defile and sexual penetration with an object
Police say during the assault a 26-year-old woman was walking home from a
grocery store when she was grabbed from behind and forced into a wooded area,
where she was sexually assaulted.
Before his transfer to Fairfax County, Matthew was held in the Charlottesville
area on charges connected to Graham’s September disappearance.
