WASHINGTON — Fairfax County voters approved a $100 million transportation bond on Tuesday night.
The money will go toward 135 pedestrian, sidewalk and bicycle improvements across the county.
The improvements include sidewalks in McLean and pedestrian access to stations on Phase 2 of the Silver Line, which is scheduled to open in 2020 and reach to Dulles Airport.
Money will also go toward bicycle access at the Burke and Rolling Road VRE stations.
The bond is part of a package of $1.4 billion in proposed transportation spending over the next six years.
