ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — The Maryland Transportation Authority says the two spans of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge will be closed this week for maintenance.
The Capital (http://bit.ly/1pg232X ) reports the eastbound will close, weather permitting, from 10 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday. During that time, two-way traffic will operate on the westbound span.
The westbound span is scheduled to be closed on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. On Thursday, it’s scheduled to be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Friday. During the closure, two-way traffic will operate on the eastbound span.
During the daytime hours, one lane of the eastbound span is scheduled to be closed Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. On Friday, the closure lasts from 9 a.m. to noon.
