WASHINGTON – It’s nearly time for residents in the Washington area to cast a vote, but time is running out to register.
Marylanders have until 9 p.m. Tuesday to register to vote for the November general election when they will choose the state’s next governor. Voters will also choose their representatives in the General Assembly and Congress.
Virginians have until 5 p.m. to register to vote for their next U.S. Senator, plus members of Congress and local issues.
That’s also the deadline to change an address.
Residents can register at the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles or the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration, at local registrars offices, or through the state elections websites.
