Survey: Prince William Co. residents satisfied

MANASSAS, Va. (AP) — A local survey says Prince William County residents are satisfied with their quality of life and local government.

The Washington Post reports (http://wapo.st/1qgnyuY ) that in a survey of roughly 1,800 county residents the majority gave the government high marks.

The survey revealed that more than 90 percent of those polled said county services meet or exceed expectations, and roughly 86 percent are satisfied with the value they get for their tax dollars. About 93 percent of residents surveyed said they feel safe in their neighborhoods.

However, the survey revealed that some residents are less than thrilled with the county’s public transportation options. While roughly 80 percent of the survey group said they are satisfied with their ability to travel by car, only 72 percent expressed satisfaction with the bus service.
