BALTIMORE (AP) — A Halethorpe man who prosecutors say led a group that burglarized dozens of businesses in four states has pleaded guilty to conspiracy and arson.
Fifty-four-year-old Carl Paschall Sr. entered the plea Tuesday in federal court in Baltimore. If a judge accepts his plea agreement, Paschall will be sentenced to 66 months in prison on Dec. 1.
According to his plea, Paschall and others, including his son, committed commercial burglaries in Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and Pennsylvania.
Prosecutors say the burglars cut power lines and telephone lines before using vise grips, sledgehammers and blow torches to break into businesses. They stole cash, money, jewelry, cigarettes, lottery tickets and prescription drugs.
Thirty-two- year-old Carl Paschall Jr. of Baltimore pleaded guilty in the burglaries, and was sentenced to 66 months in prison.
