Bears waive backup defensive end, cornerback

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) — The Chicago Bears have waived defensive end David Bass and cornerback Isaiah Frey and elevated cornerback Al Louis-Jean from the practice squad.

The moves were announced on Tuesday.

Bass appeared in 13 games with one start over two seasons with the Bears. He had 20½ tackles and an interception, which he returned for a touchdown.

Frey made seven starts and appeared in 19 games over three seasons with Chicago, with 73 tackles, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and two pass breakups.

Louis-Jean is an undrafted rookie free agent out of Boston College.
