WASHINGTON — A Gaithersburg man whose disappearance mystified his family was found dead on Thursday.
ABC7 reports that Martin John Rogers, 54, was found dead at about 1 p.m. The Maryland State Police were called to MV Smith Road in Allegany County for an abandoned car. The troopers found the car, which matched the description of Rogers’ car, and then found Rogers’ body nearby, ABC7 says.
ABC7 says the police do not suspect foul play.
Rogers went missing Aug. 21 after leaving his home and heading to work at the National Institutes of Health. “This is totally atypical,” his wife, Kelley Rogers, said earlier this week. Police had said that there had been several possible sightings of him.
