WOBURN, England (AP) — Colin Montgomerie won the Russian Senior Open on Sunday for his second straight European Senior Tour title.
Coming off a 10-stroke victory last week in England in the Travis Perkins Senior Masters, the 51-year-old Montgomerie closed with a 7-under 65 to beat Canada’s Rick Gibson by three strokes.
Montgomerie had a 14-under 202 total at Moscow Country Club. Gibson finished with a 67.
Montgomerie won for the fifth time in 10 career European Senior Tour starts. He has four victories this season, also winning the Senior PGA Championship in Michigan and the U.S. Senior Open in Oklahoma.
