BALTIMORE (AP) — Baltimore police are identifying a 3-year-old girl who was killed in a drive-by shooting that also injured two adults.
Police on Friday evening identified the girl as Mckenzie Elliott and said she had turned three in May.
Police say about 4 p.m. Friday, a car pulled up to a group of people standing outside Mckenzie’s home in the 3600 block of Old York Road. Police say someone inside the vehicle opened fire and someone in the group shot back.
Police say a stray bullet apparently hit the child and she died at a local hospital.
Police say a 21-year-old woman who was also struck in the shooting was being treated at a hospital for injuries that do not appear to be life-threatening, as was a third person who was shot.
