ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — Authorities say a head-on crash on the Bay Bridge has led to major delays.
The Maryland Transportation Authority reported shortly after noon Saturday that there were 5-mile backups in both directions. Drivers are being advised to avoid the bridge.
The crash occurred shortly before 11 a.m. on the westbound span, which was open for two-way traffic. At least two people were injured, and one was flown to a hospital.
Authorities say there’s no timetable for clearing the crash scene.
