WASHINGTON — Ahead of the Independence Day weekend, drivers are expected to pay the highest gas prices in six years.
AAA Mid-Atlantic says the violence in Iraq has caused the increase, although the agency doesn’t think it will impact the number of people traveling.
It says consumers would rather cut back on dining or shopping this weekend.
