Tysons Galleria will count Prada among its list of luxury brand names come Thursday.
The handbag and soft goods retailer is opening in a 960-square foot, marble-clad store on the mall’s second level near the entrance to the Ritz-Carlton Hotel.
The store was designed by Roberto Baciocchi and includes the signature black-and-white checked floor of Prada stores, as well as walls covered in fabric or marble, depending on the section.
Prada at Tysons Galleria will carry women’s and men’s bags, accessories and leather goods as well as shoes and ready-to-wear apparel.
It will be the retailer’s first store in the D.C. region, although the products are sold at some area department stores.
