WASHINGTON — Police had to chase a bank robbery suspect through a residential area on Monday evening, but they finally got their man.
The Montgomery County police say a man robbed an M&T Bank branch in Kensington at about 4:30 p.m. and ran off with an undisclosed amount of money.
He tried to hide in the Kensington Heights neighborhood, but he was found at about 6:30.
ABC7’s Tom Roussey told WTOP that the suspect “was hidden in one shed, and then he ran to a neighboring house and hid in another shed, and that’s ultimately where they were able to catch him.”
Police also got the money back. Nobody was hurt.
