LYNCHBURG, Va. (AP) — Retired Marine Corps Lt. Col. Oliver North is stopping at Liberty University as part of a book tour for his latest novel, “Counterfeit Lies.”
Officials say North will visit the school’s Barnes & Noble Bookstore at noon on Thursday.
The two-week, 36-city book tour started Saturday at the Marine Corps Base at Camp Pendleton, California. After Lynchburg, North will stop in Roanoke.
North served for 22 years as a Marine and has been awarded the Silver Star, the Bronze Star for valor, and two Purple Hearts for wounds received in combat. He serves on the board of the National Rifle Association.
