Some of the county’s most talented senior residents are coming to Bethesda on May 18 for a competition to honor Older Americans Month.
An event production company, the Bethesda Blues & Jazz Club, Montgomery County Recreation Department and others got together to revive the “Montgomery’s Got Talent” competition for residents age 55 and up.
The winner will get to open a show at the Club (7719 Wisconsin Ave.) for a yet-to-be-named national performer. The event, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 18, will include an expo portion to get information to seniors and raffle prizes such as Bethesda Blues & Jazz tickets, massages and bus tickets to New York.
The event has been off for five years. Tickets are $5 and the performances will start at 1 p.m. Doors for the expo and information part of the event open at noon.
