WASHINGTON — The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act’s official signup deadline may have come and gone, but several more deadlines are coming this week, covering the many exceptions and fixes after the law’s troubled roll-out.
For Maryland residents who signed up for health care before the end of March, the first payment is due Tuesday. If you haven’t received a bill, the Maryland Health Connection website recommends you call your insurance company.
If you started your Maryland application before the end of March, you have until Friday to finish up. Enrollment assistance is still available.
Virginians have to use the federal exchange. If you started your application before March 31, you have until Tuesday to finish it for coverage starting May 1.
If you think you can qualify for Medicaid, though, there’s no deadline for that.
