The local Boy Scouts of America, founded in 1910, serves over 55,000 youth through 22,000 adult mentors. With over 1,700 local groups, we are also thankful for our collaborative partnerships. The mission of the Boy Scouts is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetime based on the values found in the Scout Oath and Scout Law. Programs of Service – Serving Young Men and Young Women Cub Scouts – Boys, First Grade through Fifth Grade. Boy Scouts – Boys, Sixth Grade through Twelfth Grade (Age 17) Varsity Scouts – Boys, Age 14 to 17. (Sports Based) Venturing – Young Men and Young Women, ages 14 to 21. High Adventure, Sea Scouting, and more. Exploring – Young Men and Young Women, Sixth grade through Age 21, career interest based.
