WASHINGTON — One of the world’s greatest operas is coming to The Catholic University of America later this month.
On March 20, “Don Giovanni” opens at the university’s Hartke Theatre, and will feature music from iconic composers Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Lorenzo da Ponte. The opera blends comedy, drama and supernatural elements to tell the story of Don Giovanni, a notorious playboy who allegedly seduced more than 1,000 women.
The opera will be directed by choreographer John de los Santos. Maestro Danielle Tirilli and Nathan Blair serve as music director and assistant music director, respectively.
Tickets are $20 for general admission; $15 for alumni; $10 for seniors, students, faculty, and staff; $5 for Catholic University students and children under 10.
