WASHINGTON — An arrest warrant has been issued in connection with the death of a Baltimore County woman found dead in her Dundalk home.
Baltimore County police issued the warrant for Timothy Howard Virts, 38.
Virts and his daughter, Caitlyn Marie Virts, have been missing since police found the body of Bobbie Jo Cortez, 36, dead in a bedroom of her home in the 3100 block of Ardee Way in Dundalk Thursday.
They had responded to a call for a cardiac arrest, but found Cortez with multiple stab wounds to the upper body. An autopsy will be performed Friday.
Police spokeswoman Elise Armacost says Caitlyn’s twin sister and Cortez’ young son, as well as two adults, were living at the home. She says Timothy Virts had also been staying there for the past several weeks.
Police issued an Amber Alert for the 11-year-old girl Thursday morning.
Police believe Caitlyn Virts is with her father. They are looking for a 1999 Dodge Durango with the Maryland license plate 5AJ4458. Anyone who sees the two or the vehicle is asked to call 911 or 410-307-2020.
Caitlyn Virts is described as white, 5 feet tall, weighing 80 pounds and may be wearing glasses.
