WASHINGTON – Procrastinators take note: Time is running out for sending gifts and packages in time for Christmas.
While the deadline for regular parcel post has come and gone, there are still options. Saturday, Dec. 21 is The deadline for Priority Mail is Saturday, Dec. 21. And if you really push it to the last minute and don’t mind spending the extra cash, Express Mail packages need to be sent by the 23rd.
Saturday is also the last day to send packages for more expensive two-day delivery with FedEx and UPS. Both also have the Dec. 23 deadline for overnight or next day.For cutoff dates at online shopping sites, shoppers will have to check with the seller.
Unfortunately, if you haven’t done so already, it’s too late to send packages to Alaska, Hawaii or internationally. It’s too late to get gifts to other countries or service members overseas. But if you’ve still got gifts to mail in the U.S. time is running out to make it in time for Christmas.
