WASHINGTON – A Prince George’s County police officer shot and killed a man early Wednesday morning following a confrontation.
Police say authorities received a call at about 2 a.m. reporting that a woman was screaming, “Get off me!”
When police responded to the 3800 block of Twin Lakes Drive in Calverton, Md., they found an injured woman and a man. The man fled from the scene, but officers pursued him.

The officer who killed the man is a seven-year veteran of the Prince George’s County Police Department. He was not injured.
